Treetops Lodge’s General Manager – Heiko Kaiser has held this position since August 2005. His work history involves 22 years in the hospitality industry and has now spent 10 years in New Zealand.

Have you ever wondered what it is like standing on the edge of a live volcanic crater? The White Island active volcano tour is a must! You will be collected by helicopter from Treetops’ own helipad - fly to Whakaari (White Island) and land for a guided walk around this volcanically active island, once home to factory workers who mined for sulphur. Ruined remains of this hard life still exist today. During your flight, be on the look out - dolphins and school fish are a common sight in the Pacific Ocean.
